Despite the fact that a key part of academic success is publication, it can be a difficult process to understand. In this keynote lecture, Mike will talk about the Nature Portfolio’s philosophy and how they operate as a family of journals, discuss what high-impact research is and what editors are looking for in such manuscripts. Furthermore, Mike will provide some tips for writing a good manuscript and talk about his career path from PhD to his job as senior editor of Nature Genetics.
